A bunch of us on here use Android and were no doubt paying close attention to today’s Nexus announcement. I was all and ready to jump on the 5X but man that 3450 MA battery has snagged me back over to the 6P. So which one is for you?
Also for the increasing amount of people who seem to moan about non car posts even though this place was created to get away from the car posts on Jalopnik, here is a classic car for you.
Pullman certainly made some great cars back in the day.

I would go for the 6P for the better screen and dual speakers, but if they had the AMOLED screen and speakers on a smaller phone I would probably go that way.

Got my 6S today. It’s very nice. The Plus was a bridge too far.

Which one is the Apple? I'd pick that one.

My personal phone is a Galaxy Note 2 with a Zero Lemon 9500mAh battery and hard case. So for me more battery is better.

I’m all about those Nexus phones. I started on the 4 and I just now pre-ordered a “aluminum” colored Nexus 6P in 32 gig. Very excited for it. I dont know how I feel about going from the 5.9 inch screen on the N6 to the 5.7 on the 6P but I will see. I know the pixel density will be much higher so that is a plus. The N6 is large at times but I really enjoy the real estate I have on it.

I have a Huawei Mate 2 now with a 6.1 inch screen, so I’d go with the 6P, although the battery in mine is still bigger.
Also, someone else came up with this idea, but they should’ve used the letters from the Android version. So these should’ve been the 5M and 6M. Then next year’s would be 5N and 6N, if they were to use the same numbers.

I’ll probably just replace the tired battery in my nexus 5 and wait for the next round of devices.

I was going to order the moto x pure edition but the new 6P really wowed me.
And right now if you pre order you get a $50 Google play credit. That means that both 32gb versions cost essentially the same.
I loved my nexus 4... I’ll probably order the 6P by mid October.

I’d rather switch from my S6 to an S6 Active, but I’d probably get the 6P.

6P all the way. If I can get a hard case for it it’s my next phone.

Dunno, I have the Nexus 6 now and the lack of ‘home’ button and the power button right in the middle of the right edge of the phone drive me insane. Every day I shut down my phone by mistake b/c of the location of the power button near the middle. (I touch it all the time) and at times is too large. I struggled to find a car holder for the Nexus 6. This one looks the same in the buttons, so probably I wont repeat getting the Nexus. Needs more buttons.

It’s the one that costs twice as much as these for mediocre specs

I’d rather have the last gen nexus, only 2gb of ram? Gtfo LG/huawei. Also no expandable storage? Fuck all nexus phones, I’m going to get the ASUS zenfone 2’s next iteration.

The 6P’s a little rich for my blood, and as for the 5X... Well, here’s a comment I made on Gizmodo:
“Where I live, the Nexus 5X and 2015 Moto X are within £10 of each other, if you buy the 5X from Carphone Warehouse and the Moto X from Amazon. This is assuming you want the 32GB version; I don’t think the 16GB Moto X is even on sale here.
With that in mind, which do you reckon I should buy? I do generally prefer smaller screens, but the Moto seems to offer so much more, hardware-wise, that it’s hard to pass up for basically the same money. I’d be coming from an old Nexus 5, which has been great, but the performance is starting to leave something to be desired, and I’ve recently found myself in a situation - regular drives along roads with rather poor signal coverage - where continuing to rely on Google Play Music streaming to supplement my meagre 16GB of storage has become untenable, so the Moto X’s expandable storage does hold some significant appeal.
I would have to forsake Moto Maker - extra £40 to buy the phone from Motorola themselves - and I’m not too keen on the idea of buying my first non-Nexus since the Galaxy Nexus, but the new N5X just isn’t the sure thing I was hoping for.
Any advice would be appreciated. I just keep going back and forth on this.”
So, yeah, kinda conflicted. If the 6P took a price cut, it’d be pretty much perfect aside from the ginormous screen, but as my consideration of the Moto X Style will indicate, I’ve kinda given up on the small screen dream. The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact has pretty much my ideal display size, but the phone is crazy overpriced, and has a skin. The Galaxy S6 is pretty close at 5.1 inches, and can actually be had very cheaply these days - £375 on Amazon - but TouchWiz and Samsung’s history of neglecting software updates makes it a no-go.
I think if the Nexus 5X had 3GB of RAM, I’d probably end up buying it. If it had 3GB of RAM and either a 64GB option or an SD slot, I’d definitely buy it.

I will say one thing for all the new big screen phones, they are a lot narrower these days. I really need to get my hands on a Note 5 because even though it’s bigger on paper than my OPO it looks so much more comfortable in the hand. As for the Nexus 5X, the more I read about it the more disappointed I am. Compared to the 6P it has been scaled back way too far.

Yup. It’s also way overpriced, when you consider how much it’s going for in the US. I mean, when you can get a Galaxy S6 for similar money over here, you know they’ve fucked up. Meanwhile, the 6P is just crazily expensive.
Probably gonna end up with a Moto X Style, or maybe a OnePlus 2 if I can get an invite.

Oh Bollocks. I knew I forgot something. I just checked and I’ve been getting them but of course they have expired by now. Redundent any way as I’m moving brand. OnePlus are just to unreliable for me. Plus I need to have front facing speakers again so Moto X and 6p are my contenders.

I’d really appreciate front facing speakers—the revelation that the lower grille on the N5X is pretty much purely decorative is part of why I was so disappointed. If the 6P could be had for reasonable cash, I’d probably get one, but I’m not willing to pay what they’re charging at the mo. To get a 6P with 64GB - I want to start storing my whole music collection on my phone, if possible, instead of relying on streaming - it’d be £499, which is just nuts.
